  1. Choose Dialing Preferences to open the Dialing Preferences dialog box and enter general dialing information for different types of phone calls, such as dial-out prefixes, your Local area code and home country, the prefix for your long distance carrier, your calling card number, and so on.

  5. Click the Expert button to open a dialog box where advanced users can modify modem and speaker operation.  See the subtopic “Expert dialing preferences” under “Dialing” for more information.
